Haughey Electrical are delighted to have carried out the electrical installation work for MRI Unit at the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine, Haughey Electrical carried out the specialized electrical works required for the installation and operation of an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) unit. All works were carried out in strict compliance with medical standards and MRI manufacturer specifications to ensure safety as well as functionality. The electrical installation supports high-performance imaging while minimizing interference and ensuring continuous, reliable operation. All works were carried out beside a live hospital working environment.

Work Carried Out

Installed dedicated power supply for MRI equipment, including isolation and backup systems.
Implemented specialized grounding and bonding for safety and interference control.
Supported RF shielding with appropriate electrical penetrations and filters.
Installed non-magnetic lighting, general power outlets, and emergency systems.
Integrated safety systems such as warning systems.
Completed full testing and assisted in commissioning with the MRI vendor.
Fully Addressable Fire Alarm System with automatic disconnection and manual call points
